John Frieda Deeper Shampoo Brunette sucks as expected

I'm always the first to try out temporary brown hair dyes to cover up my outgrow difference. It's not so much a difference in darkness even, it's just a difference in tone. My natural hair is ashy and cool while my outgrowing part is warm and even slightly orangy due to a hair scrub I had to undergo to remove an almost black dye (fuck you, L'Oreal) last year ago.

That made me vow to never dye my hair again. So now I'm stuck with this awful outgrow. It's quite subtle when my hair is curled but it still bothers me. I don't want people to think that I don't take care of myself, or that I can't afford to go to a barber. I just want long, undyed hair again! But my cortisol defficiency, my styling habits and winter dryness aren't helping. I'm on a very nutricious diet and I'm taking the hyper strong powder supplement Mucopure to help me absorb more nutrients because no matter how much I eat I'm always starving, weak and thin looking. If I had a normal diet I would look anorexic.

I was thinking of trying a temporary hair dye again, because it's so much easier than using temporary mousses and shampoos. The only non-dye product that has made evened out my brown hair color so far is the Hennaplus Colour Mousse. I wrote an article about it which you can find here http://helenebeautyblog.blogspot.be/2015/06/hennaplus-colour-mousse-in-brown-review.html

I was sceptical about the John Frieda Deeper Shampoo at first. Why did it have a line of three different products? Would I need to buy all of them or would one already work? What's the difference with the regular Brilliant Brunette? If there is no difference then why have I used that before? Which one of the line works the best? Sigh, I went for the shampoo because the conditioner claimed something even more vague like "enforces the deep accents"... like it would only match with the shampoo.

I don't like going into detail about products I don't like (whoops, I've spoiled the surprise), so I'll just mention that the shampoo is very dark, but doesn't stain, is quite drying. And... doesn't do anything to my hair color!

This is the "result":

Sorry that my hair looks so dry, I had just blow dried it and well...used this stuff... I'm so disappointed! I know I shouldn't have bought drugstore crap again! Damn you brainwashing marketing.

So yeah, don't buy this crap, it's over 10 euros and it does absolutely nothing! You can always have your hair died in your natural color or you can use a temporary hair dye.
