Gone Girl (starring Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck)

Gone Girl remained at #8 on this weekend's US Box Office chart with $1.5 million and domestic total of $162.8 million, a foreign total of $173.4 million and a worldwide total of $336.2 million. (source: Box Office Mojo) The movie is still on the top 10 for ten weeks since it's opening week last October 3rd. It also spent 8 weeks at the top 5!

Interesting Facts: Since 2000, GG is the only the R-rated movie to spend 8 weeks at the top 5! It could also be the only R-rated #1 peaking film to spend since 2000 with 10 top 10 weekends. If its run were to end this weekend with 8 T5s/10 T10s, it would join Cast Away, Dark Knight, Croods, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Hunger Games.

Speaking of Rosamund Pike... At $942k, looks like Relativity is attempting to push Hector and the Search for Happiness over the $1 million mark this weekend by adding 52 screens to the remaining 5.

Also, Miss Pike just gave birth to her second baby last Tuesday, December 2. It's (another) baby Boy! Congrats to RP!

Matthew Macfadyen joins The Last Kingdom cast and started filming in UK and Hungary!
BBC, BBC American and Carnival Films have unveiled the lineup for the new Viking TV drama "The Last Kingdom."

"The Last Kingdom" is based on Bernard Cornwell's bestselling series The Saxon Stories.  The drama has begun filming with production in Hungary and the U.K.

The cast lineup includes Matthew Macfadyen, David Dawson (Fred Best in Ripper Street), Rutger Hauer, Alexander Dreymon, Emily Cox, Ian Hart, Tobias Santelmann, Thomas W. Gabrielsson, Peter Gantzler, Joseph Millson, Alexandre Willaume, Rune Temte and Henning Valin Jakobsen.
Set in the 9th century, when much of what is now called England is under the rule of the Vikings, The Last Kingdom focuses on the Kingdom of Wessex, the only remaining outpost holding out against the foreign invaders. Dawson will play King Alfred the Great, while Dreymoon plays the main protagonist Uhtred, the son of a Saxon nobleman who is orphaned by the Vikings and brought up as one of their own and forced to choose his path.
There are 8 planned 60 minute episodes to air next year. (source: Darcylicious | Big News Network)
